The California Alliance for Hispanic-serving Social Science Advancement (CAHSSA) is a collaboration among the campuses of the California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC). CAHSSA works to align social science research initiatives with the Hispanic-serving mission of the majority of institutions of higher education in California.

Provides social science leaders with best practices for incentivizing, recognizing, and rewarding Hispanic-serving, community-based, and de-colonizing approaches to social science inquiry in tenure, promotion, and research professional development and programming.

Research to investigate how social science is constructed, conducted, and taught in Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), and how this may differ from social science research that is typically funded by federal and private grant-making agencies.
