We are not currently accepting applications for CAHSSA Mentored Writing Groups. Future opportunities will be advertised through the CAHSSA Mailing list.
Purpose
The CAHSSA Mentored Writing Group Program is a 6-month cohort-based activity that leads individual researchers through the process of conceptualizing, writing, and submitting a grant proposal for submission to federal or private research funders. Each cohort is facilitated by an experienced faculty member or research development professional with a record of submitting and winning social science research grants.
Writing groups meet virtually over 6 months. Cohorts receive guidance on communicating with agency program directors, strategically writing competitive proposals, composing a budget and budget justification, and receive peer review feedback from the mentor and other writers in the group.
